ComiCare is a groundbreaking initiative designed to equip adolescents in Nairobi's informal settlements with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed choices about their health and well-being. We utilize culturally relevant comic books in Swahili to reach a target audience of 1 million vulnerable teens over the next 5 years.
The comic book series tackles critical topics like Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), including HIV/AIDS prevention, safe sex practices, navigating gender roles, and developing critical thinking skills.
We're thrilled to share that ComiCare has already reached an impressive 200,000 vulnerable teens between 2021 and July 2024!
Stay tuned for further updates on ComiCare's progress and explore ways to get involved in empowering Nairobi's youth.
